Jace and Symon are wizards longing to sell their Detroit-based bookstore and head for the lush nature of the Upper Peninsula-Symon to escape his destiny and Jace to find his. Lovers and partners for years, they are awaiting their third. They just don't know when she'll show up.
Lark can't believe her luck. Just when she's lost her home, she gets a good-paying job cleaning out a bookstore. Though the work is temporary, she's willing to do whatever she must in order to keep herself afloat.
